Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. Be of sober spirit, be on the alert Your adversary the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. I Peter 6:10

One Thousand Gifts.....
Jumping back into the listing of blessings and counting of gifts has been *so* very good for me. Today has been a hard one, fraught with many pleas and prayers. (not to mention exasperation and tears) Life is never really one thing at a time, and I know that....it is just in the imaginary world that lives in my head, I like everything to be neat, tidy and perfectly seamless.
And in my head it is, yet my reality is that it isn't. ;)

And this is good for me to read. Thanks for sharing.
Praying for you all in your hunt.
"neat, tidy and perfectly seamless" yeah, we think that's what we want (I do). But then "will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you" could never happen.
Love that verse.
I love to read these. Such a good exercise in choosing JOY and gratitude, even when life isn't perfect (or how we'd choose for it to be).
glad that piece of knowledge was entertaining :)
